Update: Extreme Couponing

Tomorrow will begin my 2nd week of Extreme Couponing. Now I'm not talking about Extreme like TLC's crazy show. YIKES! Who really needs THAT MUCH stuff!? If I was fortunate enough to get all those items and have a place to store it - i would definitely be donating bunches!

First Week in Review: I did a couple of deals that were posted online - such as Ivory soap at Walmart for $0.97 and used a coupon for $1.00 off. Walmart's policy is that they apply your overage to the rest of your purchase so that's awesome. My favorite deal though was not as extreme. HEB had a "Buy a Starbucks Frapuccino 4-pack and get the HEB version for Free". Well, I happen to like both brands and also had a $2.00 off coupon when you buy 2 Starbucks Frapuccino 4-pack. So I used 2 of those coupons which was 4 of the Starbucks 4-packs and then got 4 HEB one's for FREE!! YAY!! Retail value on my receipt roughly showed $45 and I only paid $20 :D It was a 60% savings on my receipt. WOOT! Even though it wasn't FREE or the goal of less than a dollar, to me it was amazing because they are both products I used and I feel like I maximized my savings. WOOT! Below are pictures of last Sunday's coupon clipping and also one where Roxie felt the need to "help". LOL!

It's Been Awhile...

Okay so maybe I haven't started out on the right foot with this whole new blog thing... but I'm working on it :p I got sick with bronchitis and required a steroid shot :(

Sooo... I think I might have a new small addiction... Extreme Couponing! I mean, we've been tight on a budget lately and I thought what a better way to save money!! Buuuut my only issue is that it's just the 2 of us. I wouldn't be stock piling like a lot of these ladies. Plus my printer is out of ink... sooo... yeah... LOL! But I think I may be trying to atleast save SOME money with some coupons. Couldn't hurt right? ;)

Anyone have any experience?

Makeup: The Ultimate Guide by Rae Morris

I am SUPER excited because I just bought Makeup: The Ultimate Guide by Rae Morris from Borders.com. YAY!! My fave Youtuber GossMakeupArtist gave a rave review of this book and said its even used in Cosmetology schools as text books so that definitely sparked my interest! For those who don't know, I wanted to go to cosmetology school, but while I was in community college and approached my dad with the idea and said "Hey would you pay for this..." since he was paying for my college and he said "No". Now he'll be paying off my college loans for my Business Degree in Accounting... yeeaahhh...

I will definitely do a review or tips from the book so stay tuned! Also, we're planning on doing a trip to the farmer's market tomorrow AND I'm going to a paint ceramics place for my monthly Girls Night Out thing. :) More to come...

Holy Grail Concealer!

Okay, so we didn't go to the Farmer's Market as I originally had planned so instead I'm bringing you my holy grail concealer!! :D YAY! Its about to get super hot here in Texas and my burns always turn bright red in the summer and I'm really self-conscious about it. My holy grail concealer is Eve Pearl's Salmon Concealer. I am going to post before and after pictures so everyone can have proof how amazing this is at concealing uneven skin tones and hiding redness. The photos are untouched - except for cropping the size. I have also uploaded a video of my applying the concealer so everyone can see the before and after progress for themselves. Similar to the gaming phrase "screen shots or it didn't happen" ;)

AFTER

Here's my first ever video!! OMG! I actually put it up on YouTube also. I don't know if I'll keep doing these - its a bit nerve wrecking.

Breaking the Ice

Okay its my first post on my blog! *gasp* I must say, its very nerve wrecking. First I wanted to make sure the look was just right. I mean, lets be honest - no one keeps going back to the PLAIN blog. We like visually appealing websites.  Then, how do I start off my FIRST post. Its suppose to be monumental right? I let my blog sit here for 3 days thinking of this... and what have I come to?? IT DOESN'T MATTER!! ... Once my blog has a ton of post far into the future, no one is ever going to be reading this again.

Tonight's Agenda was... making "white girl" enchilada's and shortcake. "White Girl" Enchiladas consist of pre-cooked, seasoned and shredded chicken rolled into corn tortillas, topped with canned green sauce and cheese!! First time making and winging this recipe. My Boo definitely thought it was one of the better meals I have made lately. Honestly, it the recipe was on the back of the green sauce can. ;)

After that, I transferred all my scrapbooking files from my Boo's USB to my NEW External Hard-Drive. YAY! Sooo exciting! I'm hoping to scrapbook a lot more - especially utilizing my Wishblade!

So there it is, in all its glory - my first blog post! Its a bit lacking - especially in the photo department, but I just wanted to finally get it started!!

Stay tuned... I'll be going to the Farmer's Market on Saturday w/ Roxie & My Boo :)
